Galena is the only girl in our Iditarod and SH history related "G" litter, and that alone makes her special! She is probably the sweetiest, most adorable puppy we´ve had here since quite a while ago. She is the fastest and smartest from the litter and has quite an adventureous, independent aproach to life, always discovering new parts of the garden, dog yard and forrest, and leading her brothers when running lose on our trail.
She is also very attached to us and is a great kisser. Although she always has a sad expression in her chocolate brown eyes on the photos, in fact she´s a smiley, happy gal with a big sense of humor. A true character. We are totally in love with our little star!
RACING CAREER:
• Member of our 2008/09 team, selected to run the 400km Femundlopet (nearly 2000 training miles)
• Beaver Trap Trail 2008
• Lillholmsjö 2008 (2x16km sprint, 8 dog class) - Galena´s racing debut
HEALTH CLEARANCES:
• Hips: Performance tested • Eyes: Cleared April 26, 2009 including gonioscopy
SHOW RESULTS:
• 1st prize, junior class - SH specialty show Bjursas ´07, Sweden (under judge Vincet Buoniello, USA)
• 1st prize, junior class winner, HP (price of honor), SPHK specialty Östersund, 2007(under judge Lars West)
BLOODLINE: Combination of Igloo Pak (most influence), Anadyr and Polar Speed, with some influence also from Vargevas and other kennels.
